The Eco-Leader Award

The “Canadian Eco-Leader Award” is a public call-to-action, designed by Bosch to celebrate the grassroots environmental efforts of people in communities across the country. As a respected global corporate citizen, Bosch is leading the charge in Canada and encouraging Canadians to use this opportunity to educate and inspire each other.

The “Canadian Eco-Leader Award” highlights Bosch’s long-respected heritage of German engineering and advanced technology, and its interwoven “cradle to cradle” eco-culture. The search shows that thought-leadership is not only about making one’s voice heard, it’s about setting the trends – not following them, inherently commanding respect, and creating meaningful conversations within your community.

This award will offer Canadians a message of hope for the future, through support and mentorship and by spreading inspiration by encouraging the gathering of like-minded individuals, thought-leaders and small businesses to share their inspiring work and commitment to living a more sustainable life.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Internet access and valid email account necessary to make a nomination
  • Nominees can be any individual Canadian, a not-for-profit organization, community group or a member of a small business with an environmentally focused grassroots project/business/initiative/activity, etc. that meets the judging criteria
  • Each grassroots project/business/initiative/activity, etc. must be beneficial/helpful to their respective communities in an environmental capacity
  • Government agencies and individuals associated with large corporations/organizations (consisting of over 10 employees or 20 members) are not eligible

An Eco-Leader is any individual or not-for-profit community group or organization that stands up for the environment and takes charge to make a change towards living a more sustainable lifestyle. Their efforts are beneficial to their community as a whole and their acts could be as simple as starting a re-usable coffee cup program or as challenging as leading a petition to have all office buildings in their community turn off their lights at night. By launching the “Canadian Eco-Leader Award”, Bosch is committed to recognizing and celebrating these community thought leaders for their inspiring work and their commitment to living a more sustainable life.
